Leongatha art and photography show

This year’s show was an outstanding success which continued its reputation as one of the region’s and indeed Victoria’s major events. Being its 41st year it was something special.
It was held at Mesley Hall, which was kindly donated by the Leongatha Secondary College and we look forward to continuing the show at this excellent venue.

Adding to the show’s success was holding it at the same time as the Leongatha Daffodil Festival. The entries this year totalled more than 550 and attendances over 1000 people. The All Abilities had many excellent entries as did a large contingent of youth entries.

The opening night was well attended and the judge, Clive Hamilton did an excellent job considering the large amount of outstanding work. He received many compliments for his choices and presentation.

Next year we are increasing the reach of the show by making it a major art event where artist’s studios, galleries, wineries and an art trail will be included. It will be an event not to miss or be part of.

Although no firm date is yet set, keep the about same date in your diary for next year. If you wish to be kept informed keep an eye on this website or send your details to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

To all those who participated or attended we thank you a lot. The success of the event means Rotary, being non for profit , can put more back into your community.

Again thank you all,
Harry Leggett
