The venue for the Leongatha Art and Photography Show is the Leongatha Memorial Hall. The Hall was built as a memorial to service men and woman of the First World War and opened in 1926. A unique feature of the hall was a series of internal murals depicting battles involving Australian forces during that conflict. These features were unfortunately painted over during maintenance in the 1950s.

Memorial Hall is located at the Corner of McCartin street and Michael Place. The Hall is easy to find as it is located at the centre of Leongatha

OLD FIRE STATION USED FURNITURE & BOOK STORE

The Leongatha Art and Photography Show is not the only significat community project undertaken by the Rotary Club of Leongatha. Close to Memorial Hall at 2 Anderson Street is the club's newest fund raising venue that has grown out of the Art Show.

After running a successful 'Pop-Up' used book shop at the 2021 Art Show, the club established a Used Furniture and Book Store in the vacant Old Fire Station in early 2022. A number of members saw a need for a source of inexpensive, good quality used furniture in the town. Initially operation on-line and out of a members garage, the opportunity arose to lease the Old Fire Station with room to display furniture of all types.

A Used Book Store was considered to be another fund raising opportunity for the club. A book room has been set up in the Old Fire Station with an excellent range of books, both fiction and non-fiction. So pop in for a browse when the store is open.

                            The store is open:
                  11:00am to 3:00pm Wednesday,
10:00am to 2:00pm on Thursday and Friday,
                 9:00am to 1:00pm on Saturdays.
